Merlin's third album was still somewhat in the indie rock vein but with a dose of sampling thrown in for good measure. We filmed a video for the first single "The Playboy Interview" ourselves on high-8. All the performance shots were filmed in my parent's basement. It received moderate play on Muchmusic. We toured Canada for the second time in the spring of '96 with a band called Son. The band was still a four piece but with a new drummer we affectionately named Danny Boy. After the tour, things quieted down. Cargo, our record company, was undergoing some changes and would soon go out of business. The band was put on hold.
