In 1995, Merlin went back into his studio and recorded a new album called "Cool Chicks And Other Babes". The sound was guitar-based, indie rock, which was very different from "A Noise Supreme". We put together a new band, which included Antoine on bass and my brother Doug on drums, and called it ma. We played a few warm up shows in Montreal to prepare ourselves for our first cross Canada tour. The tour began in July. We travelled in a big, blue Ford van with our soundman Christian. Tents were our accommodations. We opened for a band from the east coast called Sandbox. We played cities from Thunder Bay...

to Victoria. The highlight of that summer for me was playing Edgefest at the Molson amphitheater in Toronto with tons of great bands, in front of around ten thousand people. We also made a video for the song Sap. In February 1996, we got invited to play several dates in Belgium. We played two shows in Brussels and one in a castle just outside of the city. Those were our last shows.
